Over the past 10 years, there has been commercial development of black chromium deposits from a trivalent chrome electrolyte.

This paper reviews black chrome plating deposit characteristics, operational considerations, environmental health and safety, market applications, as well as alternatives to black chromium. To read the entire paper as posted on pfonline.com, click here.
